This dark rum is a masterful blend of 8-year old Barbados and Dominican column still rums, combined with high ester Jamaican pot still rum, and Trinidadian rum. Aged in American white oak ex-bourbon casks.
On the nose: cooked fruit character, and baking spices. Esters are quite present, banana peel, and baked yellow apple. Nut loaf, oatmeal cookie, roasted nuts, and toffee. On the palate: savory, tobacco, cedar, mulch, and vanilla. Baked apples and banana bread. Worn leather flavors. Tangy and nutty. Finishes dry and clean.
