WELCOME TO ALKALI RYE - OAKLAND'S BEVERAGE SHOP
We exist to provide Oakland a warm and welcoming space that highlights the many Black, Indigenous, People of Color, Women and LGBTQ+ beverage makers and producers. We have an unrelenting passion for all beverages and crafts and a deep empathy for others and ourselves. We will continue to highlight under-represented makers until we are in a world where we are no longer under-represented.
As champions for sustainable agriculture, we want people to understand the value of what the earth is capable of giving us.
Our namesake derives from a wild grass native to the Bay Area. Like us, it is wild, resilient, and highly adaptive.
