The name 'Primo' has numerous meanings. Translated to "number one," it represents a variety of things for Federico and his wife, Bianca. Their first batch was completed on September 1, 2016, making it Italy's inaugural salt gin. Additionally, in Emilia-Romagna, the first son is traditionally named 'Primo.' This gin is like their first child. Cervia's salina (salt flats) have been a family affair for over 4,000 years and the privilege of harvesting is passed down through generations.
