Just like their bourbon whiskey finished in American toasted oak barrels, Nulu uses various toast and char levels of french oak to rectify their straight bourbon whiskey for weeks or months at a time. They look for a balanced, rich and sweet toasty profile in this bottling.
Mashbill : 75% Corn, 21% Rye, 4% Malted Barley. Aged 6.5 years.
Tasting Notes: Butter waffles, vanilla cream, and maple syrup meet the nose.
The palate is oily and sweet with vanilla and other breakfast notes. As you chew, mocha and caramel coated dark chocolate show up. The finish is long and sweet with vanilla.
