Foeder-Aged Farmhouse Ale - Golden-colored farmhouse ale, brewed with regionally-sourced hops and barley. Fermented over 14-months in a large oak foeder with B&A's house culture of yeast and bacteria.
Big notes of apricot skin, peach, and pineapple, with fruity funk, balanced acidity, and bitterness, finishing with prickly carbonation.
Based in Albuquerque New Mexico, Bow & Arrow is the first Native American woman-owned and operated brewery in the country! Founded by two Mandan, Hidatsa, and Navajo women in 2016, Bow and Arrow received near-immediate attention for the quality and stylistic breadth of their brews. B&A produces excellent IPAs, Saisons, Pilsners, Stouts, and Mixed Culture beers, often using ingredients uniquely indigenous to their surrounding high desert mountains and mesas. Founders Shyla Sheppard and Missy Begay demonstrate their love of the land in the ingredients they source, the delicious beer they brew, and the values they operate their company with. Last year Shyla and Missy again made news when they launch Native Land IPA, an industry-wide collaboration in the vein of Weathered Souls "Black Is Beautiful" or Other Half's "All Together. Brewed to acknowledge the contributions and history of Native American People in the United States, Native Land IPA asks that all participating breweries acknowledge on whose ancestral land they are located on, and donate the proceeds from the sale of the beer to benefit Native peoples.
