Always reminiscent of its namesake, pink lemonade is vibrant, tart and bright magenta in color. Cinnamon and mulling spices on the nose, followed by pink peppercorns. Surprising umami on the palate contrasts with the ever-present acidity and a comforting tannic grip on the finish.


Although picked a week earlier than in 2019, the 2020 ‘pink lemonade’ was slightly riper than the previous year due to the heat of the 2020 season. The goal of picking a bit riper was to create a wine with more depth of flavor but with the same backbone of acidity.

Just as in 2019, the Abouriou and Colombard were picked as a field blend, each variety making up about half of the blend. Upon arrival at the winery the blend was foot crushed, cofermented whole cluster on skins for a week, and then basket pressed to stainless steel to finish fermenting. Once dry, the wine was transferred to neutral oak barrels to age for 6 months, sur lie.

“pink lemonade” looked like electric pink lemonade during fermentation and was named as such.

Indigenous yeast fermentation. No added sulfur, no other additions, unfined and unfiltered.
