As South Africa’s first black female winemaker, Ntsiki (En-Tee-Kee) Biyela has forged a path to become one of the most recognised names in the world of wine.
Chardonnay grapes were handpicked at the optimum ripeness at the end of February 2019. The grapes come from Stellenbosch were fermented
in tank and the grapes from Elgin in second-fill barrels. 25% of the wine was then aged in second-fill barrels for 10 months while the remainder
rested on the lees. A complex Chardonnay, fresh, round and soft. This wine sees some wood giving it a nice round warmth, tropical fruit with a slight buttery notes on the palate with a balance of acidity, fruit and oak.
