Aqará is at the forefront of the next wave, expanding the agave category. With their own unique production techniques, rather than simply trying to imitate tequila or mezcal, we are beginning to see how producers from various agave growing regions are able to express terroir through agave.
Aqara Agave de los Andes is distilled using wild agave pineapples with freshly fused water from the snow of the Blanca mountain ranges, Peru at 2,256 meters high.
Agave: Ensamble of Americana Expansa Gentry and Cordillerensis. Harvested at around 10 years. Fermented in stainless steel tanks, copper still distillation and then rested in new American Oak barrels for 4 months.
Tasting Notes: Full-bodied, with an intense mouthfeel where the smoked and toasted notes are intertwined with hints of toffee, vanilla, coffee and stone fruit making each sip a lasting pleasure.
